Ali Al-Nono, the eternal legend of a happy Yemen

A unique-style striker, after looking at his football career, you can’t help but raise your hat to him, out of respect and appreciation for a man who searched for the conditions he wanted but did not find, so he worked hard and made them himself, to weave the threads of the career of the No. 1 player in the records of Yemeni football, his star emerged in the happy Yemen, But he refused but to shine in the Sudanese experience, which he over-exploited in a strange way, when he was offered a Sudanese passport, but he refused. He went through many professional experiences between Egypt, Sudan, Bahrain, and Syria.

He is Ali Al-Nono, who was born on June 7, 1980 AD in Sana’a. Al-Nono started his football career with the people of Sana’a in 1995 AD, and remained with them until 1998 AD, and in the same year he moved to the Egyptian Port Said Club, one of the oldest Egyptian popular clubs in his first professional tests, and his journey ended in Egypt after two years during which he participated in some matches as a substitute and could not score any goal and returned to Yemen to play with his original club, Al-Ahly Sanaa.

In 2004, Al-Nono moved to a second professional trip with the Sudanese Al-Marreikh Club, where his real breakthrough was, and he succeeded in proving himself and grabbed attention with good returns inside and outside the green rectangle, until he was offered the Sudanese passport to play as a local player, but he made his decision, and moved to the Bahraini Busaiteen Club. In the 2006/2007 season he joined the Syrian Tishreen Club, and from 2007 until 2010 he played for his mother club, Al-Ahly Sana’a, and in the 2010/2011 season he played for Al-Tilal Club in a short experience, after which he returned to the people of Sana’a and continued with them until he announced his retirement in 2014.

At the international level, Al-Nono played for the Yemeni national team for a long period from 2000 to 2010, during which he scored 29 goals.
