Enad: Bahrain’s encounter is an early final for Kuwait

Kuwait coach Thamer Enad said in a press conference held before the match between the Kuwaiti “Al-Azraq” and Bahrain that the next match with Bahrain is an early final.

He added: “Bahrain is a strong team, but I have confidence in the players and the ability to return to victory.”

He said that the game is difficult for both teams as it is the last game in the group stage of the Gulf 24. It is also the articulation of the two teams to resolve the qualification. He further said: “We wish we can make our fans happy again after the loss against Oman.”

On the physical readiness of his team, he stated: “We deal with the games separately and we have 23 players ready for each big and small on the pitch.”

He added: “The players have made great physical efforts in the games. We have a reserved bench at the same level of the basics. We need a complete change in tactics and attack, and we need good preparations and good concentration.”

He praised the level of his next opponent, saying: “Bahrain is a champion of West Asia, a developed team, and has a group of good players, a smart coach, and very strong players, and their coach has worked to rest his team, as a kind of tactic.”

Thamer Enad stressed that wasting opportunities is possible in the world of football.

Regarding the meeting with Saudi Arabia in the first round, he said: “The first game is not a measure. It is the Derby as the opening of the Gulf Championship, and has a very huge media pressure and cannot be compared to any other game. Yes, we were the strongest there.”

He concluded: “I admit that the Kuwaiti team does not provide the required level and has many mistakes at the beginning of the game, and we will find solutions to that. In the coming years, you will see a different team.”

Bahrain has a point from their draw against Oman, while Kuwait has three points from a win over Saudi Arabia. Both teams suffered one loss in their second meeting in the second round, where Kuwait suffered a loss from Oman, while Bahrain suffered a loss from the Saudi team. Currently, the team that tops the group is Oman with 4 points.
