Ali Al Busaidi: We need support

Omani defender Ali Al Busaidi sent his message to the Omani fans asking them to stand behind the team in the match against Kuwait.

“My sincere condolences and sympathy for the death of the former coach Verbeek. We spent an unforgettable period with him, achieved our first personal titles, and we were saddened by this bad news.”

He added: “We will try to prepare in all respects. We saw the match between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and identified the strengths of the Blue team.”

Al-Busaidi denied that Verbeek’s death would affect the performance of the players in the match against Kuwait, and stressed that this will increase their determination and strength.

“We need the support of all Omani fans, whether here in Qatar or in our country,” he concluded.
