Koman: I don’t feel any pressure

Oman coach Erwin Koeman has offered his condolences to the family of former coach Pim Verbeek.

“We extend our condolences to the family of the late Pim Verbeek who died yesterday. We canceled all the events that were scheduled for the team after we heard the news.”

“We will try to win the match against Kuwait. There are no excuses in football, and we will prepare well with the circumstances. We know how strong Kuwait is and what it did to Saudi Arabia deserves respect.”

He added: “I re-watched the match against Bahrain and studied where we played a good 75 minutes. After that there was a little retreat, but we came out with a point.”

Concerning the pressures, he commented: “I do not feel any pressure. Everyone is behind the team. We give our best; we did our best but we did not score. I am satisfied with the performance of the players in the game.”

“Some people do not understand that Bahrain is a good team and have recently achieved positive results in the Asian double qualifiers.”
