Abdulwasea Al-Matari: We closed the UAE’s page

Yemeni midfielder Abdulwasea Al-Matari said his team is looking to provide a better picture against Qatar.
“We have turned the page of UAE and started thinking about the Qatar match,” he said at the press conference. “We will try to delight the Yemeni people, who are hungry for joy and I hope to be highly responsible.”
Regarding the reason for the poor appearance of the team in the Gulf Cup unlike the Asian championships, he commented: “Our team is young and everyone knows the size of the bustle of the Gulf Championship. I still bet on my fellow players.”
He concluded: “The suspension of sports activity for more than five years in Yemen has a direct impact on all national teams, so some may see fluctuation of results because stability is important and playing more competitive games will give the team more confidence.”
