Gulf 17’s record held steady after the first round

By the end of the first round, the number of goals scored was 10, including six on the first day and four scored in the match between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia – a figure that puts the odds of a high scoring rate in the next matches in the Gulf 24.
Since the introduction of the group system starting from the 17th Gulf held in Qatar in 2004, the tournament’s number has remained steady as the edition with the most scored goals (13 goals).
In Gulf 23, 10 goals were also scored after the end of the first round.
During the 18th Gulf, the net was shaken nine times after the first round, while in the 19th and 21st Gulf, eight goals were scored.
Seven goals were scored in the Gulf 20, while Gulf 22 in Saudi Arabia was the lowest with only three goals.
