Oman national team announces the list of the defenders of the Gulf title
Dutch coach Erwin Koeman has announced a 23-man squad for the 24th Gulf Cup, which will be held in Doha from November 26 to December 8.
Koeman is hoping to defend the title of his compatriot Pim Verbeek in the version of Gulf 23 in Kuwait.
The list includes two professionals in the Qatari league: the leader Ahmed Kanoo (Al Markhiya) and Mohammed Faraj Al Rawahi (Al-Shamal SC).
Goalkeepers included Fayez Al-Rashidi (Dhofar), Ahmed Al-Rawahi (Seeb) and Ibrahim Al-Mukhaini (Al-Nasr).
For the defense: Mohammed Muslim (Dhofar), Ali Busaidi (Dhofar), Abdulsalam Amer Al-Mukhaini (Dhofar), Abdul Aziz Al-Ghailani (Seeb), Ahmed Khalifa Al-Kaabi (Al-Nahda), Saad Suhail Al-Mukhaini (Al-Nahda), Fahmi Saeed Durbin (Al-Nasr), Imran Al-Haidi (Fenja) and Mohammed Faraj Al-Rawahi (Al-Shamal SC).
For the center: Al Mundhir Rabi Al Alawi (Dhofar), Harib Al Saadi (Dhofar), Zaher Sulaiman Al Aghbari (Seeb), Mohammed Mubarak Al Ghafri (Al Rustaq), Ahmad Mubarak Kano (Al Markhiya of Qatar), Arshad Al Alawi (Oman Club), Mohsen Jawhar Al Khaldi (Saham) and Yassin Al Shayadi (Suwaiq).
For the attack: Mohsen Ghassani (Suwaiq), Saeed Al-Ruzaiqi (Fenjaa) and Abdul Aziz Al-Muqbali (Dhofar).
Oman will compete in Group B along with Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain.
