Balanced groups in the Khaleji 24th draw

The Khaleji 24th Cup draw was withdrawn today (Thursday) in the Qatari capital, after it was confirmed that the eight teams from the Gulf Arab Football Confederation will participate in the tournament.

Prior to the draw, the teams were divided into four levels: Qatar (the host) was placed at the top of Group A, while Oman (the winner of the previous version of the tournament) was placed at the top of Group B. The FIFA ranking for October was considered to determine the three levels.

Qatar, UAE, Iraq and Yemen were drawn in Group A, while Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait were drawn in Group B.

The tournament will be held from November 26th to December 8th this year.
