Mahdi: We are optimistic about the brothers .. The participation of Yemen will be different

Mr. Labib Al Mahdi, member of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni Football Federation, said that the General Assembly meeting was very good, explaining that he is optimistic to hold the tournament in its full quorum in the Gulf 24, and stressed that the Yemeni Federation will seek to register a different participation in the version to be held in Qatar.

Speaking about the meeting, Al-Mahdi said that he hoped if all the members attended the quorum and if the representatives of the Saudi, UAE and Bahrain federations attended, adding that the meeting discussed the election of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani as president and Dr. Jassim Al-Shukaili as his deputy, the tournament and Qatar hosting it, explaining his happiness.

He also touched on the technical level in the next tournament, and the extent of its impact in the absence of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, saying:

“The impact on the technical level may or may not happen. The tournament is expected to be played in one group. But we hope that all teams will be present and, God willing, this will happen. We are hoping for the presence of our brothers and we are optimistic, and our message is sports unit us and we hope that the tournament will be held in its full quorum as it is an important GCC tournament”.
Labib al-Mahdi said that the federation will seek to register a different participation, explaining that everyone knows the circumstances of the Yemeni team, especially the absence of a local league because of the situation in Yemen, stressing that the preparation will be better And bigger.
