Gulf delegations arrive in Doha

A delegation of the Kuwaiti Football Federation headed by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef and the Omani Football Federation delegation headed by Sheikh Salem Al-Wahaibi will arrive in Qatar today to attend the General Assembly meetings and the elections of the Arabian Gulf Cup which will be held this evening at the Four Seasons Hotel in Doha.

In the same context, the delegation of the Iraqi Football Federation headed by Abdul Khaliq Masood arrived yesterday evening to attend the meetings, in addition to the Secretary General of the Yemeni Federation Abdulhami Al-Shaibani, to hold the meeting of the General Assembly and the Gulf Congress, in which Qatar has completed its preparations to organize the Gulf event distinctively.

Several files will be addressed at the General Assembly table after the completion of the election file for the positions of President and Vice President, including financial and administrative reviews.

They will also talk about the preparations of Qatar, the organizing country for the next Gulf Cup, and determine the dates of the draw, especially since all member associations have been notified of opening the door for participation.

It is worth mentioning that the heads of the Gulf delegations will accept the invitation of HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, President of the Qatari Federation, to attend the Prince Cup final between Al Duhail and Al Sadd teams, through which the inauguration and opening of Al Wakrah Stadium, one of the stadiums of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
