Omani League: Al-Seeb continues to lose points
With the conclusion of the nineteenth round of the Omani League (Omantel), Al-Seeb Club continues to lead the standings, despite its goalless draw at home and among its fans against Sohar, who is in third place (30 points), as Al-Seeb’s score rose to 48 points, 12 points behind Al-Nahda. The runner-up has 36 points, but Al-Nahda has two postponements remaining, as it did not play the matches of rounds 17 and 18 against Sohar and Oman Club, due to its connection to the semi-finals of the AFC Cup.
The nineteenth round witnessed Al-Nahda’s victory over its guest, Bahla, with a clean goal, and the Oman Club tied 0-0 with its host, Al-Rustaq, raising Oman’s score to 30 points in fourth place.
Sur also won over its host Al-Shabab 2/1, and Al-Wahda won over its host Ibri 2/1, and the end of the round witnessed an exciting match (the South Derby) between Dhofar and its guest Al-Nasr, which ended with Al-Nasr winning 4/0.
