Musaed Nada… the career of the historic Kuwaiti football defender

One of the most prominent defenders in the history of Kuwaiti football, distinguished by his missile shots and free kicks, the top scorer defender who entered the history of Kuwaiti football from its widest gates, by entering the 100 Club, when he scored his 100th goal against Al-Jahra Club, to be the Kuwaiti defender with the most goalscoring record throughout history.

He is the star Musaed Nada Al-Anazi, who was born in Kuwait City on July 8, 1983. He began his career with Al-Qadisiyah Club, and his fame began with the 2001/2002 Crown Prince Cup final, which brought together Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Kuwait, who were ecstatic about achieving the Emir’s Cup, and who was hoping to score a double, but Musaed Nada succeeded in snatching the title for Al-Qadisiyah with a goal in the 26th minute of the second half from a free kick on the outskirts of the penalty area.

Musaed contributed to Al-Qadisiyah winning three championships in the 2002/2003 season, the Al-Kharafi Cup, the Kuwaiti League, and the Prince’s Cup. In the following season, Al-Qadisiyah achieved the historic treble by winning the titles of the three major competitions, the Crown Prince Cup, the Prince’s Cup, and the Kuwaiti League, as the first Kuwaiti club to collect all of these titles in one season, after which Musaed moved to the Qatari League through Al-Wakrah Gate on loan for the 2004/2005 season, after 17 years with Al-Qadisiyah, during which he participated in 310 matches, scored 95 goals, and contributed to Al-Wakrah reaching the final of the Emir of State Cup, but lost it to Al-Sadd won on penalties, then returned to Al-Qadisiyah the following season, but he was injured and was away from the field for 7 months.

Nada had many professional experiences, with Al-Nasr, Al-Shabab, and Al-Orouba clubs in Saudi Arabia, where he played 6 matches with Al-Nasr, 8 with Al-Shabab, and 11 matches with Al-Orouba, during which he scored 3 goals. He also joined the ranks of Al-Salmiya on loan in the 2015/2016 season, playing for 24 matches and scored 5 goals. He returned to Salmiya again from 2019 until his retirement in 2023. He played 30 matches and scored 6 goals.

At the international level, Nada began playing with Kuwaiti Blue since the 2002 Asian Games, until he announced his international retirement in 2015. He participated with the team in the 2004 Gulf Cup and scored a goal against Saudi Arabia, and the 2009 Gulf Cup, where he scored a goal against Bahrain, and was on the list participating in the Asian Cup. 2011, and the 2015 Asian Cup.
