Branko Ivankovic announces the Omani Red list for the Asian Cup

The Croatian coach of the Sultanate of Oman, Branko Ivankovic, announced the list of names participating in the 2023 Asian Cup, which starts from January 12 until February 10, hosting the Qatari capital, Doha, which will open by facing Qatar (the host country) and Jordan at the Lusail World Cup Stadium.

The Sultanate of Oman national team is playing in the sixth group, which includes alongside it the Saudi Green, which will be its first meeting with the Red in the tournament, as well as Kyrgyzstan and Thailand.

Omani Red is currently in its final preparatory camp for the tournament in the United Arab Emirates, where it played a friendly match against the Chinese team, which ended with Oman winning with two clean goals. On Saturday, January 6, it will meet its Emirati team in the second friendly, leaving on January 8 for the Qatari capital.

The Omani national team roster for the tournament included 26 players, which included: In goalkeeping, Ibrahim Al-Mukhaini, Fayez Al-Rashidi, and Ahmed Al-Rawahi, and in defense; Ghanem Al-Habashi, Juma Al-Habsi, Ahmed Al-Khamisi, Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Khaled Al-Buraiki, Ali Al-Busaidi, Abdulaziz Al-Ghilati, Mahmoud Mabrouk, Fahmi Durbin, and Moataz Saleh.

And in the middle; Hareb Al-Saadi, Arshad Al-Alawi, Abdul Rahman Al-Mushaifri, Jamil Al-Yahmadi, Abdullah Fawaz, Tamim Al-Balushi, Musab Al-Maamari, Zaher Al-Aghbari, and Salah Al-Yahiaei.

And in the attack; Issam Al-Subhi, Mohsen Al-Ghassani, Abdullah Al-Musharafi, and Omar Al-Maliki, while the Croatian excluded 3 names; Goalkeeper Bilal Al Balushi, Amjad Al Harithi, and Nasser Al Rawahi.
