Bahraini League Harvest: Al-Ahly ignites the race and takes the lead

Al-Ahly Club was alone at the top of the overall standings of the Bahraini Football League after defeating Al-Hadd 1-0, raising its score to 14 points at the end of the eighth round of the competition.

Hassan Madan scored the only winning goal for Al-Ahly in the 42nd minute, as the team now moved away by a point from Al-Khalidiya, which lost to Al-Riffa with an unanswered goal scored by Ali Hassan Saeed (87).

The situation disrupted the progress of the  Riffa Al Sharqi team when it defeated them by an unanswered goal as well, as the only goal of the match came from Daniel Asante (54 from a penalty kick), and Busaiteen also achieved its first victory in the tournament at the expense of Al-Najma with a goal by Mamadou Lamine (67).

Muharraq won over Manama with three goals scored by Firas Shawat (29), Abdul Wahab Al-Maloud (30) and Hassan Mohammed (77), versus a goal scored by Elves Marelli (71).

Sitra outperformed Al-Shabab with two goals scored by Amir Rostani (16) and Khalifa Lafi (43), versus a single goal scored by James Olofide (83).
