Faraj Lahib.. the joy maker of the Kuwaiti football

One of the most prominent strikers who played for the Kuwait national team and the Kuwait Club, and left a clear mark, especially in the 14th Gulf Cup, which was held in Bahrain in 1998, in which Kuwait was crowned deservedly.

He is the star of Brigadier General Faraj Lahib Saad Al-Mutairi, who was born on October 3, 1979 in Kuwait City. He started playing for the Kuwait Club in the youth stage, and in the same year he succeeded in joining the first team and participating in the 1998 Gulf Cup, and contributed to winning the title under the leadership of Czech coach Machala, and in 1999 Al Hadath Sports magazine chose him as the most promising Arab player, but injuries haunted him a lot during his career.

Lahib won many championships with the Kuwait Club, and had a professional experience in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ettifaq Club. He also played for several Kuwaiti clubs on loan, where he had several experiences with Al-Salmiya in two periods: 2007/2008, 2009/2010, then Kazma 2010/2012, and played In 2012 for Yarmouk, and in 2013 with Al-Fahaheel.

He was crowned champion with the general, who played 101 matches with, scoring 40 goals, with many titles. He won the league title three times, won the Crown Prince Cup twice, the Emir Cup once, and won the top scorer title, in addition to the Al-Kharafi Cup. Lahib has a long record with Kuwaiti Blue since 1999 until 2009, when he announced his retirement from international football, he participated in 45 international matches, scored 23 goals, and participated in the 1998 Asian Games, the 1998 Gulf Cup, and 2004. He also participated in the 2000 Asian Cup in Lebanon, and was part of the Blue squad in the 2000 Summer Olympics.
