An international Emirati crew manages the match between Iraq and Indonesia in the double qualifiers
The FIFA Referees Committee assigned an international Emirati referee team led by Ahmed Issa Darwish, assisted by Ahmed Al Rashidi (first assistant) and Yasser Sabeel (second referee), to officiate the match that will bring together the Iraqi and Indonesian teams tomorrow, Thursday, at Basra International Stadium, as part of the second round matches from the joint Asian qualifiers to the 2026 World Cup and 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals.
International referee Ahmed Issa Darwish recently participated (video referee) among the Emirati refereeing team that officiated the match between Buriram United of Thailand and Melbourne City of Australia, in the eighth group matches in the AFC Champions League, while international assistant referees Ahmed Al Rashidi and Yasser Sabeel participated among the Emirati refereeing team who managed the match between Bangkok United of Thailand and Kitchee “Hong Kong” for Group Six in the same tournament.
