Wahdat Sanaa’s regains the top spot in its group in the Yemeni League, while the title holder falls behind

 

Wahdat Sanaa team regained the lead in the Yemeni Revitalization League for first-class teams in its current new version, for the second group competitions in the city of Sayun Hadramaut, after the defending champion, the Fahman Abyan team, had temporarily topped the standings with its great 1/4 victory over the Shaab Ibb team, and Al-Wahda team regained the lead again, following its difficult victory achieved, with a single goal, over its rival, Salam Al-Ghurfa team, in the match against the public summit, which brought them together at the Olympic Stadium in Sayun, in the final round of the first-leg round, Al-Wahda raised its points to ten points, one point ahead of its competitor, Fahman, while with its loss, the Salam Al-Ghurfa team remained on its tally of seven points, falling to fourth place, and scored Al-Wahda’s victory goal Qasim Al-Sharafi in the second half of the confrontation in the 86th minute.

In the other confrontation, which also took place yesterday, Monday, Al-Hilal Al-Sahel and Semaoun Al-Shahr tied without goals, in the confrontation that brought them together at Wahda Sanaa Stadium, in the last round of the first leg, for the first group, and with the draw, Semaoun raised his score to five points in fifth place, while Al Hilal has three points at the bottom of its group.

The Hadhramout Tadamon team had risen to the top of the standings of the first group teams in the capital, Sana’a, through its difficult victory, which it achieved, with a single goal, over its rival, the Ahly Sana’a team, in the last round of the first-leg round. With Tadamon’s victory, it raised its score to seven points, and advanced from fourth place to the top of the group standings in partnership with Al-Ahly Sanaa, whose loss froze their score at seven points, and the difficult victory was achieved for Al-Tadamon Al-Hadrami thanks to the brilliance of its players, led by its new international star Ahmed Maher, who scored the only goal from a penalty kick (70), and who played his second match, scoring his second goal.

It is noteworthy that the Yemeni league competitions are conducted in a group system in two groups, back and forth, and the first group includes the teams (Ahly Sanaa, Al Hilal, Al Orouba, Ittihad Ibb, Samoun, and Tadamon Hadhramaut), while the second group includes the teams (Fahman, the defending champion, Wahdat Sanaa, Shaab Ibb, Yarmouk, Shaab Hadramaut, and Salam Al Ghurfa).
