Doha hosts the Best in Asia Awards ceremony

Today, the Qatari capital, Doha, will host the Best in Asia Awards ceremony, where the best achievers in the continent will be honored, in the presence of elite stars at the Al Mayassa Theater, which is located inside the Qatar National Convention Center.

After an absence of four years, this event symbolizes the return of the annual ceremony within the calendar of annual events in the AFC, as the AFC explained on its website.

Qatar hosts the annual ceremony, which includes the presence of the continent’s most prominent stars, as part of the celebration of the 27th edition of the annual awards, prior to Qatar hosting the 2023 Asian Cup competitions during the period from January 12 to February 10, 2024.

The evening begins with honoring the late Saud Al-Muhannadi, who made great contributions to the development of Asian football, and who will be honored with the AFC Diamond Award.

During the ceremony, 17 other awards will be presented, including the Best Player Award and the Best Female Player Award, as part of the celebration honoring the best players, coaches, and member national and regional federations.

Prizes will be presented in the following order:

AFC Diamond

Best National Federation Award (Ruby, Gold, Diamond and Platinum categories)

Best Regional Federation Award

AFC President’s Appreciation Award for Promising Players (Bronze, Silver and Gold Categories)

Best Coach Award (Women)

Best Coach Award (Men)

Best Futsal Player Award

Best Player Award (Women)

Best Player Award (Men)

The names of the winners of the following awards will also be announced during the ceremony, which will be presented at other special events:

Best Young Player Award (Women)

Best Young Player Award (Men)

Best professional player outside the continent award

Special Judges Appreciation Award.
