Round 3 of the group stage.. the Gulf clubs lead the AFC Cup groups

The Gulf clubs participating in the AFC Cup shone during the first day of the third round matches of the group stage, as Omani club Al-Nahda succeeded in coming back after falling behind by a goal, to achieve its second victory in the first group, against its guest, Al-Fatwa Al-Syria 2/1, in the match hosted by Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex Stadium in Muscat, leading the standings with 6 points.

Within the third group, Al-Riffa of Bahrain defeated Al-Arabi of Kuwait by three clean goals, taking the lead in the group with seven points, followed by Al-Arabi second with 4 points, and Al-Zawraa third with the same score.

Al-Zawraa of Iraq achieved a major victory over its guest, Al-Najma Al-Lebanese, 4-1, in the match that was held at the Jitha’a Al-Nakhla Stadium in the city of Basra.
