The Iraqi Federation announces the launch of the Premier League under its new name

The Iraqi Federation announced the launch of the Premier League competition on Thursday, October 26, under its new name. The Iraqi Federation had announced the change of the competition’s logo in addition to changing the name to the Iraq Stars League in the new season. It also confirmed stopping the competition for a month during the Asian Cup.

The Iraq Stars League matches for the 2023/2024 season will begin with four matches in the first round on Thursday: Amanat Baghdad vs. Al-Qasim at Baghdad Stadium, Najaf vs. Naft Maysan at Najaf Olympic Stadium, Al-Hodood vs. Naft Basra at the Al Saher Ahmed Radhi Stadium, Al-Zawraa vs. Newroz at Al-Zawraa Stadium. While Karbala and Nift Al-Wasat meet on Friday, Al Quwa Al Jawiya vs. Zakho, Dohuk vs. Al Shorta, Erbil vs. Al Nift , Al-Minaa vs. Al Kahraba, and Al-Talaba and Al-Karkh shall meet on Saturday.
