Qatar’s victory over Iraq in the Jordan International Championship

The Qatar national team defeated its Iraqi counterpart by a penalty shootout with a score of (6-5) in the first match of the Jordanian International Friendly Quadruple Championship, which will be held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, until the seventeenth of this October.

The Qatar national team will play with the winner of the match between the Jordanian and Iranian national teams on Tuesday evening, October 17, in a match to determine the first and second places in the tournament.

The tournament comes within the framework of the preparations of the four teams to begin the journey of the joint qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup, while the four teams are also preparing to compete in the Asian Cup finals, which will be held in Qatar during the period between January 12 and February 10 of next year.
