The Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation and the Central Asian Football Federation sign a cooperation agreement
Today, Friday, October 6, 2023, the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation signed a cooperation agreement with the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) in the Tajik capital of Dushanbe, in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation, and His Excellency Mr. Rustam Emam Ali, President of the Central Asian Football Federation.
The signing of the cooperation agreement comes to enhance ways of cooperation between the two federations to develop football in the Gulf region and the Central Asian region through joint work and strategic plans that aim to exchange experiences and expertise between the two federations.
His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation, explained that the signing of the cooperation agreement is considered the first step for a true partnership between the two federations in the context of seeking to develop football through holding competitions and exchanging various expertise and experiences, which will reflect positively on the level of football. The game and raises its efficiency, stressing at the same time the keenness of the two federations to support the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to organize the 2034 World Cup.
Pointing out that the Central Asian Federation (CAFA) is considered one of the effective regional federations, and hoping that this cooperation will contribute to raising the level of football and creating a qualitative shift in various fields.
For his part, His Excellency Mr. Rustam Imam Ali, President of the Central Asian Football Federation, welcomed His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation, in the Tajik capital of Dushanbe, expressing his happiness at signing the cooperation agreement, which will open new horizons for the Central Asian Football Federation. Asia is at the beginning of the Gulf through joint cooperation with the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation.
Hoping that the cooperation agreement will achieve the expected goals in order to develop football and create real cooperation opportunities that serve the two federations and member national associations.
The signing of the agreement was attended by Mr. Jassim Sultan Al Rumaihi, Secretary General of the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation, and Mr. Ulugbek Karimov, Secretary General of the Central Asian Football Federation.
