His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, President of the UAE Football Association

The General Assembly of the UAE Football Association approved the Federation’s Board of Directors for the 2023-2027 electoral cycle, headed by His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, and Abdullah Nasser Al Junaibi, President of the UAE Professional League, as First Vice President, and the membership of Hisham Mohammed Al Zarouni, Hamad Ahmed Al Mazrouei, and Omar Al Hajj Al Muhairi. Yahya Khalaf Al-Matrooshi, Fahd Ismail Al-Hosani, Amal Hassan Bu Shallakh, Ahmed Ali Al-Mahboubi, Ibrahim Hassan Al-Nimr, and the members nominated by the President, namely Obaid Salem Al-Shamsi, Abdul-Mohsen Fahd Al-Dosari, and Khalfan Juma Belhoul.

The electoral General Assembly meeting was held last Friday at the Erth Hotel (Armed Forces Officers Club) in the capital, Abu Dhabi, in the presence of officials of the National Olympic Committee, the General Sports Authority, sports councils, members of the General Assembly, representatives of the International and Asian Football Federations, and various media outlets.

The meeting began with the presentation of a film material that included pictures and names of the personalities who have assumed the presidency of the Football Association’s Board of Directors since its founding, and another video that dealt with the journey of the late Sheikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during his tenure as president of the Football Association, after which Mohammed Abdullah Hazzam Al Dhaheri, Secretary-General, reviewed The Union has an agenda, calls for attendance, and ensures that a quorum is reached, while 3 members were approved to review the minutes: Salem Howiden Al Ketbi (Al Dhaid Club), Ali Mubarak Al Abdouli (Al Orouba Club), and Khaled Rashid Al Hinai (Al Wahda Club).

An explanatory video was then shown about the progress of the electoral process, before Counselor Salem bin Bahyan Al Ameri, Chairman of the Elections Committee, announced the names of the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors for the 2023-2027 electoral cycle, amid applause from the audience.
