The UAE first team delegation leaves for the Croatia camp
The first UAE national football team is holding an external camp in the Croatian city of Zagreb, which will last until the twelfth of this month, within the framework of the FIFA Days, as part of the preparation program for participation in the second round of the joint Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Asian Cup finals, which will begin in November. Next, a team will play in the eighth group, which includes the Bahrain teams and the winner of the matches between Yemen, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Laos.
The Portuguese national team coach, Paulo Bento, chose 28 players to be present in this camp, and they are: Khaled Issa, Khaled Al-Hashimi, Bandar Al-Ahbabi, Yahya Nader, Ahmed Barman, Hazem Muhammad (Al-Ain), Ali Khasif, Khalifa Al-Hammadi, Abdullah Muhammad Al-Attas, Mubarak Ahmed Mubarak, Abdullah Idris, Abdullah Ramadan, Ali Mabkhout (Al Jazeera), Abdul Rahman Saleh, Ali Salmin, Fabio De Lima, Caio Canedo, Ali Saleh (Al Wasl), Walid Abbas, Yahya Al Ghassani, Muhammad Jumaa Eid (Shabab Al Ahly), Adel Al Hosani, Khaled Al Dhanhani, Majid Rashid, Muhammad Abdel Basit, Al-Hassan Saleh (Sharjah), Muhammad Al-Shamsi (Al-Wahda).
During the Croatia camp, Al-Abyad will play a friendly international match against his counterpart, the Costa Rica national team, on September 12.
