Raad Hamoudi.. The march of the historical goalkeeper of Iraq and the best in Asia

Most athletes consider him the best goalkeeper in the history of Iraqi football, the first captain of the Iraqi team in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, and one of the few who spent their career with one club, where he only played for Al-Shorta club.

He is the star of the Asian and Iraqi guard Raad Hamoudi Salman, who was born on May 1, 1953 AD in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad. He started his football career in 1972 AD, when he joined the second division with Al-Shorta Club, with whom he spent all his career until his retirement in 1987 AD, and participated with it in many tournaments: the Iraqi League, the Iraq Cup, and the Arab police Championship, with which he won many titles at the local and Arab levels.

At the level of the national team, goalkeeper Raad Hammoudi started his international career in 1976 AD, in the Turkey match, and also participated with the national team in the fourth Arab Gulf Championship in Doha in 1976 AD, the Asian Nations in Tehran 1976 AD, the World Military Championship in 1977 and 1997 AD, and the Asian Games in the Thai capital, Bangkok. In 1978 and 1982 AD in New Delhi, the Fifth Arab Gulf Championship in Baghdad 1979 AD, the Olympic Games in Los Angeles 1984 AD, the World Cup finals in Mexico 1986 AD, and the Olympic Games qualifiers in Seoul. He played for the Iraqi national team 104 matches.
