In the King Salman Cup for Clubs 2023.. Al-Shabab and Al-Nasr Saudis complete the contract for the qualifiers to the quarter-final round

The contract for the teams qualified for the quarter-final round of the King Salman Cup for Arab Clubs 2023 has been completed, as the Saudi Al-Shabab and Saudi Al-Nasr teams have reached the next stage of the competition’s life.

In the third group, the Saudi Al-Shabab defeated Al-Ittihad Al-Monastiri, Tunisia, with a goal without a response, and the Egyptian Zamalek tied with the Saudi Al-Nasr, 1-1.

Al-Shabab’s goal against Al-Ittihad Monastir was scored by Ever Banega, while Zamalek’s goal came against Al-Nasr through Ahmed Mustafa, before Al-Nasr equalized with a header from Cristiano Ronaldo.

With these results, Al-Shabab occupies the top of the group standings table with 7 points, followed by Al-Nassr with 5 points, and they qualified together to the quarter-finals.

In the fourth group, a positive tie settled 1-1 as a result of the Algerian youth Belouizdad match with Kuwaiti Kuwait, while Moroccan Raja defeated the Emirati Al-Wahda with a goal without a response.

The goal of Raja’s Al-Nasr against Al-Wehda was scored by Zakaria Al-Wardi, while the goal of Shabab Belouizdad was scored by Islam Belkhair, and the Kuwait team tied through Taha Yassin.

With these results, Raja ranks at the top of the group standings table with 9 points, followed by Al-Wehda with 6 points, so that the two teams qualify together for the next stage.

Quarter-final teams

The Saudi Al-Ittihad and the Iraqi Al Shorta qualified from the first group, from the second group Al-Sadd Al-Qatari and Al-Hilal Saudi Arabia, and from the third group Al-Shabab Al-Saudi and Al-Nasr Al-Saudi, and from the fourth group each of Moroccan Raja and Al-Wehda from the United Arab Emirates.
