Al-Shorta is a champion of the Iraqi League for the 6th time in its history

Al-Shorta Club succeeded in winning the Iraqi League title for the second time in a row and the sixth in its history prior to the closing round, after defeating Naft Maysan 3/0 in the penultimate round.

The Al Shorta hat-trick was scored by Amir Sabah Khudair in the 37th minute, Idrissa Niang in the 43rd minute, and Abdelmajid Boubaker in the 65th minute, raising his tally to 79 points from 37 matches, four points ahead of its closest pursuer, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya.
