Qatar loses to Haiti in the Gold Cup

The Qatar national team lost 2-1 to Haiti in the match that was held Sunday at NRG Stadium in Houston, in the first round of the second Group competitions in the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2023 in the United States.

The Qatar national team advanced through Youssef Abdel Razzaq’s goal in the 20th minute, before Haiti responded with two goals through Dawkins Nazon (45 + 1) and Frantzdi Beirut (90 + 7).

The second round of group competitions will be held on Thursday, when Qatar will meet Honduras, and Haiti will meet Mexico.

This participation of the Qatar national team is considered as part of its preparation for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, which will be held at home, knowing that it was crowned the title of the last edition in 2019.
