Kuwaiti League: Kuwait wins the title and is unique in the record
Kuwait Club clinched the Kuwaiti Football League title two rounds before the end, after defeating Al-Arabi 2-0 in the tournament group matches that concluded the eighth round.
Kuwait broke up the partnership with Al-Arabi specifically when it was the only one with the record number of titles, and it has 18 titles, compared to 17 for Al-Arabi and Al-Qadisiyah, 4 titles for Al-Salmiya and Kazma, and a single title for the Al-Jahra team.
Kuwait did not find it difficult to overtake Al-Arabi with two goals scored by Muhammad Marhoon (60) and Taha Al-Khunaisi (76), raising its score to 49 points, 6 points ahead of Al-Arabi, the runner-up, with the preference for direct confrontations for the first.
Kazma lost its chances of competing for the title after losing to Al-Qadisiyah with two goals scored by Ibrahima Tanda (68) and Naif Zwaid (86), against a goal by Nasser Faraj (32 from a penalty kick), leaving the losing team in third place with 43 points.
Al-Salmiya defeated Fahaheel with two goals scored by Fahd Al-Azmi (32) and Mubarak Al-Feneni (41 from a penalty kick) against a goal scored by Youssef Bin Souda (44).
