Asian Champions: Al Hilal Saudi Arabia defeats Shabab Al Ahly Dubai and qualifies for the quarter-finals

The Saudi club Al-Hilal, the defending champion, succeeded in crossing into the quarter-finals, after defeating Shabab Al-Ahly Dubai, UAE, 3-1, on Monday, at Al-Janoub Stadium in Al-Wakrah, in the round of 16 of the 2022 AFC Champions League.
Odion Ighalo (17), Jang Hyun-soo (73) and Luciano Vietto (79) scored Al Hilal’s goals, while Omar Khribin (86) scored Shabab Al Ahly’s goal.

In the group stage, Al-Hilal topped the standings of the first Group with 13 points from six matches, with a goal difference in direct confrontations against Al-Rayyan of Qatar, compared to 5 points for Sharjah of the United Arab Emirates and 3 for the Iranian Esteghlal.
