Al-Hamdan leads Saudi to the Gulf Cup 24 final

The Saudi national team has qualified to the Gulf Cup 24 final after defeating the Qatar national team in the Golden Box by Abdallah Al-Hamdan’s head kick to hit the Saudi a match against Bahrain on the final next Sunday.

Renard started the game with two strikers – Abdallah Al-Hamdan and Firas Al Braikan, staying right behind them was Nawaf El Abed. On the other hand, Sanchez kept Hassan El Hedose, Moez Ali and Akram Afif in the front of the goal.

Pedro also hit a powerful ball and found Fawaz Al-Qarni waiting for it to end the first half with a Saudi superiority goal Hamdan.

The second half started and Qatar tried to respond, but to no avail. Al-Ali raised the first cards in the face of the best player in Asia Akram Afif, followed by another in the face of Saudi defender Mohammed Khubrani.

Abdul Karim Hassan launched the first shot of the second half and the defense took it away. After that the supporter pressed strongly and cornered Abdul Aziz Hatim who hit the right post of Fawaz Al-Qarni, followed by Karim Boudif with a shot touching the net.

Renard made his first substitution with entering Hattan Bahabri and Nawaf Al-Abed in order to deal with the ongoing Qatari pressure. Sanchez made his first changes with Ismail Mohamed replacing defender Pedro Miguel to reinforce the right quarter of an hour before the end.

The crowd was composed of 42,025 spectators, most of whom raised the flag of Burgundy. Sanchez pushed the paper Montari to place Salem Al-Hajri, while Renard responded with a defensive change through Khor.

Saudi Arabia played with a defensive bloc, and Qatar attacked with all its players 10 minutes before the end and no incursions. Qatar hit the ball and the crossbar and once again Al-Shaib stopped it.

Afif’s header five minutes from the end blowed off the terraces after it passed beside the crossbar.

Belgian Alexandre Pocant raised five more minutes. Saudi Arabia was content with defending Al Hamdan’s goal and achieving what he wanted as the match ended with the victory of Saudi Arabia (1-0).
