Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation Launches the Official Visual Identity for “Khaleeji 27”

The Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation (AGCFF), in collaboration with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the Local Organizing Committee for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027™️, has announced the launch of the official identity for the Gulf Cup tournament “Khaleeji 27”, as part of the ongoing preparations for Jeddah to host the tournament from September 23 to October 6, 2026.

The tournament will be hosted in Jeddah for the first time, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing legacy of the Gulf Cup.

The new identity is inspired by the spirit of the Gulf region and the distinctive character of the city of Jeddah. The logo design draws from the historic “Rawasheen” balconies that define the architectural heritage of Historic Jeddah (Al-Balad), forming the silhouette of the tournament trophy. The identity reflects the tournament’s connection to the city’s rich cultural and architectural legacy, while presenting a contemporary visual expression that balances authenticity with the modern stature of the event.

The identity’s color palette draws inspiration from the national identity of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, complemented by the vibrant tones associated with the city of Jeddah and turquoise shades reflecting the shores of the Arabian Gulf. Collectively, these elements represent the region’s maritime heritage and reinforce the cultural and geographical connectivity shared among the Gulf nations.

The Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation affirmed that the new identity reflects the strong emotional connection Gulf audiences have with the tournament, while embodying the longstanding bonds, shared sporting legacy, and deep-rooted social ties among the peoples of the region. The identity also underscores the continued growth and advancement of Gulf football across all levels

On this occasion, Mr. Jassim Sultan Al Rumaihi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cup Football Federation, stated: “The logo of Khaleeji 27 has been designed with an elegant visual identity that carries many profound meanings, reflecting the significance of the Gulf symbolism associated with this event, which will be hosted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He added: “The logo carries significant meanings symbolizing the tournament’s rich legacy, representing the peoples of the region. It draws inspiration from Gulf culture and celebrates Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the 27th edition of this prestigious tournament, which has witnessed the rise of many legendary players, in addition to the rich diversity that enriches communities across the region. ”He further noted that the Federation places great importance on the tournament for its noble values and its strong marketing and fan appeal.

The Secretary General of the Gulf Cup Football Federation also praised the tremendous efforts made in delivering this work, describing it as a clear and lasting milestone in the history of Gulf football.

He further stated that the Organizing Committee has finalized all preparations for the official draw ceremony, scheduled to take place on May 19 at Culture Square – the Art Center of the Red Sea International Film Festival in Historic Jeddah. He also emphasized that the tournament continues to receive significant support at the highest levels within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, underscoring the commitment to delivering an exceptional edition that meets the highest organizational and professional standards.

For her part, Ms. Mai AlHelabi, Chief Executive Officer of the Local Organizing Committee for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027, confirmed that the new identity was designed to reflect the spirit of the tournament and the uniqueness of hosting it in Jeddah. This was achieved by blending the city’s cultural and heritage elements with the well-known Gulf character of the tournament, creating a visual identity that resonates closely with Gulf audiences.

She added that hosting the tournament in Jeddah for the first time marks a significant milestone in the history of the Gulf Cup, emphasizing the tournament’s special status among Gulf audiences. She further noted that the Local Organizing Committee is committed to delivering an exceptional edition that reflects the Kingdom’s prominent position and its growing capabilities in hosting world-class sporting events.

The launch of the identity coincides with the countdown to the official draw ceremony scheduled for May 19 in Historic Jeddah, amid widespread anticipation from fans and media alike, as the tournament remains one of the most prominent and beloved sporting events in the Gulf region.
