Saudi Arabia and the Emirates reached the semi-finals of the tenth junior championship

The teams of Saudi Arabia and the Emirates qualified for the semi-finals of the 10th West Asian Federation Junior Championship, hosted by the Omani Federation at the Al Saada Complex Stadium in Salalah.

Despite their goalless draw in the match that took place on Saturday, December 16, 2023, the Saudi team qualified as champion of the first group with 5 points, while the UAE came second with 4 points with the advantage of direct confrontations between it and the Jordanian team, which finished third by defeating its Syrian counterpart by a goal without a response recorded by Ezz El-Din El-Masry.

The Yemeni and Iraqi teams snatched their nomination tickets to the semi-finals for the first group, after Yemen finished the first round in first place with 9 points and a full mark from three victories, while Iraq was in second place with 4 points, with a separate goal difference over the Omani team, which left the competition along with Lebanon.

Thus, the semi-final scheduled for Monday, December 18, 2023, will witness two confrontations, the first between Yemen and the UAE at five o’clock in the evening, Oman time, and the second between Saudi Arabia and Iraq at eight thirty in the evening.
