The Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation signs a memorandum of understanding with the Confederation of African Football
The Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, with the Confederation of African Football in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation, and Dr. Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding comes within the two federations’ strategy to develop football in the Arabian Gulf region and the continent of Africa, achieve a positive impact on civil federations, and open horizons for exchanging expertise, experience, and knowledge between the two federations.
His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Arabian Gulf Cup Football Federation, confirmed that signing the memorandum of understanding will contribute to the development of football through exchanging experiences and holding competitions that will contribute to raising the efficiency and level of the game in the two federations.
Pointing out that the memorandum of understanding will open new horizons of fruitful cooperation between the two federations and facilitate the communication process to draw up a future strategy that serves both parties and enhances their role to bring about a qualitative shift in the development of football in its various fields.
For his part, His Excellency Mr. Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football, expressed his happiness at signing the memorandum of understanding with the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation, which in turn will reflect positively on African football and Gulf football through the meeting of two different football schools united by one goal, which is to develop football and create opportunities for cooperation. Hoping that this memorandum will achieve the aspirations that the two federations seek to achieve through the unified visions and strategies that will be presented by the two federations for the development of football.
The signing of the agreement was attended by Mr. Jassim Sultan Al Rumaihi, Secretary General of the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation, and Mr. Veron Mosengo Omba, Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football.
