The fierce guard.. Nour Sabri, one of the legends of the Iraqi goalkeeper

One of the most famous players in Iraq, and the most important element of the golden generation of Iraq the Asian Cup champions, and one of the legends of Arab goalkeepers, the bogeyman, the ghoul, the lethal, the commanding lion, the fierce goalkeeper, the legitimate successor to Raad Hammoud, all titles attached to the star Nour Sabri, who played 100 matches with the national team and won in 37, he tied 29, while losing 34 confrontations.

Nour Sabri Abbas Hassan was born in June 1984, in the city of Buhriz (Baquba), Diyala Governorate. He started his football career with the popular teams in the Mishtal area in which he lived. He was an attacker, and on one occasion the goalkeeper was absent and he offered the coach to be his replacement, and he shone remarkably at that time, prompting him to continue the rest of his career as a goalkeeper.

During his career, Nour represented 13 Iraqi clubs, and he had two professional experiences with Miss Kerman of Iran and the Hijr of Saudi Arabia. He started his athletic career in 1998, with Al-Shorta club and played for it one season, then Al-Kadhimiya, and his first match was between Al-Kadhimiya and Al-Sumawa, and the first international meeting against Syria at Al-Shaab Stadium 2003 Within the International Friendly Championship, and from Al-Kadhimiya he moved to Al-Zawraa from 2000 to 2003, then Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya 2003/2004 season, Al-Talaba 2004/2006, Iranian Miss Kerman in the 2006/2007 season, Dohuk 2007/2008, Al-Talaba 2008/2009, Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya 2009/2010, Zakho 2010/2011, Najaf 2011/2012, Al Nift 2012/2013, Al- Quwa Al- Jawiya 2013/2014, Nift Al Wassat 2014/2016, Al Shorta 2016, Al Minaa 2017, Al Talaba 2017/2018, Nift Al Wassat 2018, Hijr 2018/2019 Najaf 2019/2020, Nift Maysan 2020/2021.

His journey with the national teams began when he played with the junior team in 2002, and participated in the Asian Championship. He also participated with the Olympic team in the Olympic Games in Athens 2004, the Confederations Cup 2009 and then the Arab Gulf Championships until 2017 AD, to announce his retirement in April 2020.
