In Jeddah, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the draw ceremony for the 2023 Arab Futsal Championship, in its seventh edition, will be held, in which 12 Arab teams will participate, and its competitions will be held from 6 to 16 June next, in the gym next to Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium. It is hosted by the Saudi Football Association.

The championship competitions will be held with the participation of 12 teams, namely Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, Palestine, Comoros, Lebanon, Libya and Mauritania.

The first edition of the tournament was held in Cairo in 1998, with the participation of the teams of Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Jordan, Algeria, Palestine, Sudan and Somalia.

In 2005, the second edition was also held in the Egyptian capital Cairo, and the national teams of Egypt, Lebanon, Algeria, Libya, Iraq, Tunisia, Palestine and Morocco participated in it, where the Egyptian national team retained the title, and the Moroccan national team also finished runner-up, followed by the Lebanese national team in third place and the Libyan national team in fourth place, while it hosted Libya, the third edition in 2007, and the national teams of Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon, Morocco, Egypt and Iraq participated in it, and the Libyan national team won the title.

Then the championship returned to Egypt in 2008 in its fourth edition, and the teams of Egypt, Jordan, Algeria, Iraq, Tunisia, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Libya participated in its competitions. Cairo, which hosted the fifth edition in 2021, where the teams of Egypt, Mauritania, Bahrain, Kuwait, Morocco, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia and the Comoros participated in its competitions, and the Moroccan national team won the title.

The competitions for the sixth edition were held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with the participation of the teams of Morocco, Kuwait, Mauritania, Somalia, Egypt, Iraq, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Palestine and Libya, and ended with the Moroccan team winning the title, while the Iraqi team finished second.
