The Omani League.. Round 24 postpones the announcement of the champion
Yesterday evening, the matches of the 24th round of the Omani League (Omantel) were held, which determined the three clubs relegated to the first division, but postponed the determination of the champion of the competition, as Al-Nahda, the leaders, and Al-Suwaiq, the runner-up, lost in that round.
At home and in the midst of its fans, Al-Nahda, the leaders of the standings, suffered its second loss this season, against Al-Seeb (last season’s title holder) 1/2. Al-Seeb Jibula and Abdulaziz Al-Muqbali scored goals, while Al-Nahda’s goal was scored by Youssef Al-Saadi.
Al-Suwaiq, the runner-up, did not take advantage of Al-Nahda’s loss, as it also lost the Al-Musanna match 1/2. Omar Al-Fazari scored for Al-Suwaiq first, and Al-Musanna scored for Hammoud Al-Saadi and Costa, so that the points difference between them remained 4 points unchanged.
On the other hand, the round confirmed the relegation of Al-Bashaer, Al-Orouba and Al-Ittihad clubs to the first division, where Al-Orouba lost to Sohar 0/3, and Al-Bashaer lost 1/0 to Sur, which this victory saved from relegation, and Al-Ittihad lost to Bahla 1/2.
