By acclamation.. Al-Mishal is president of the Saudi Football Association for a second state

The Elections Committee of the Saudi Football Association, in the presence of all members of the General Assembly, announced the recommendation of Yasser Al-Mishal as president of the federation for a second state.

Al-Mishal’s list of members of the Board of Directors includes Lamia Bint Bahian for the position of Vice President, as the first Saudi woman to hold the position since the establishment of the Saudi Football Association, and the membership of Khaled Al-Thubaiti, Naeem Al-Bakr, Nazih Al-Nasr, Khaled Al-Muqrin, Ali Al-Shailan, Moeed Al-Shehri, Turki Al-Sultan, Abdulaziz Al-Afaleq and Abdullah Hammad.

Al-Mishal had also won the elections by acclamation in June 2019, and during his presidency unprecedented achievements were achieved for Saudi football, as the Saudi green topped his group in the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, which included Japan, Australia, China, Oman and Vietnam, and he also achieved a historic victory over Argentina, the champion of the World Cup. The world is at the start of its participation in the Qatar World Cup, and the Saudi team qualified for the Tokyo Olympics after winning the AFC U-23 Youth Championship, and the Saudi youth team achieved the Arab Championship title for two consecutive years 2021 and 2022.

Al-Mishal’s march also witnessed the launch of the first strategy for Saudi football, the opening of local offices for the Football Association, success in hosting the 2027 Asian Cup for national teams and the 2026 Asian Women’s Cup, the establishment of the first Saudi women’s team, the launch of the first local women’s league, and winning the hosting of the Club World Cup 2024. Al-Mishal also won membership in the Council The International Football Association (FIFA).
