The young Omani leaves the AFC U-20 Championship

The Omani national team lost the opportunity to qualify for the quarter-finals of the AFC Youth Cup, after it tied with its Jordanian brother without goals, at Lokomotiv Stadium in Tashkent, in the third and final round of the third Group competitions in the AFC U-20 Youth Cup 2023 in Uzbekistan.

The preference tended during the match in favor of the Jordanian team, which had many opportunities, but was unable to score.

South Korea topped the group standings with 7 points from three matches, compared to 4 points for Jordan, who won second place by direct confrontations against Tajikistan, and a point for Oman, and snatched the qualifying card for the quarter-finals.

In the quarter-finals, South Korea will meet the second in the fourth Group ,while the Jordanian national team will meet the first in the fourth Group.

The first round of the group competitions Jordan won against Tajikistan 2-0 and South Korea won against Oman 4-0, while in the second round South Korea won against Jordan 2-0 and Tajikistan won against Oman 1-0.
