Bahraini League: Manama consolidates its lead, and Muharraq and Riffa tie

The Manama team strengthened its lead in the general standings of the Bahraini Football League competition by defeating Al-Khalidiya 1-0, to raise its score to 27 points, 3 points ahead of Al-Muharraq, who stumbled in a 0-0 draw against Al-Riffa, in the framework of the fourteenth round.

Manama star Mahdi Abdul-Jabbar scored his team’s only goal against Al-Khalidiya (49), while the goals were absent from the top of the round matches between the defending champions, Al-Riffa team, and its counterpart Al-Muharraq.

Al-Shabab defeated Al-Hala with a goal by Sayed Alawi (2), and Al-Budaiya achieved its first victory in the competition at the expense of Bahrain with a goal from Frederick (37 from a penalty kick), while Sitra tied with Al-Ahly 0-0. With the same result, the Al-Hidd confrontation with East Riffa ended.
