Bahrain’s unique legend.. The march of Talal Yousef, the owner of the decisive goals
It is agreed that Talal Yousif is one of the most prominent players that Bahraini football has produced. Rather, he has reached the stage of being the best in Bahrain over the years. The Bahraini street football called him the unique legend of its kind. His presence was not limited to the Bahraini league only, but he had two professional experiences in Kuwait.
The star Talal Youssef, scored the decisive goals in the 2004 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers when he scored a goal in the last minute against Syria, and led Bahrain to the Asian Cup, during which he scored two goals and Bahrain achieved fourth place.
Talal Youssef was born in 1975, and began his football career with Madinat Isa Club before moving to Riffa, then he left for Kuwait in 2005 and achieved outstanding results with Kuwait Club. He moved to Qadsia in the 2007/2008 season, with a contract worth 30 thousand dollars for one season, during which he achieved the Kuwaiti Federation Cup.
Talal Youssef represented the Bahraini national team for more than 10 years, from the 1998 Gulf Cup to the 2007 edition.
He participated with Bahrain national team in the 2004 Asian Cup, which the Bahraini street will never forget, after the national team finished fourth, and was part of the golden generation.
Talal Youssef scored a goal against the Omani national team in Gulf 14, hosted by Bahrain, and in Gulf 16 in Kuwait 2003, he scored a goal against Yemen, two goals against Kuwait, and was crowned top scorer of the tournament with 5 goals.
In the Gulf 17 in Qatar 2004, he scored two goals against Yemen and Saudi Arabia, and in the Gulf 18 in the Emirates 2007, he scored a goal against the Saudi Greens, and in the 2004 Asian Cup in China, he scored two goals against Indonesia and Iran, and he also participated in the 2007 edition.
