The Iraqi national team is armed with the land and the fans in the face of Qatar in the semi-finals of the Gulf 25

The Iraqi and Qatari teams will meet on Monday in the Gulf cup 25 semi-finals at 4:15 pm at Basra Stadium.
The match will not be trouble-free for the players of the Qatar national team in the face of the owner of the land, who will be brimming with great public support, which actively contributed in helping the “Lions of Mesopotamia” to move forward in the championship, where they deservedly achieved the 1st place in group A with seven points after two victories over Saudi Arabia and Yemen and a draw with the Omani national team which has the second place with the same points with goal difference.
As for the Qatari team, it reached the semi-finals, and not forgetting to mention the fact that the youthful composition of the team surprised everyone and presented high levels, to occupy the second place in group B with four points after a victory over Kuwait, a draw with the Emirates and a loss against the leading Bahraini team with seven points, and with a difference in direct confrontations with Kuwait team – the third place- with the same points.

The Qatar national team players gained a lot of confidence in the 25th Gulf Cup after the convincing level they presented in the three matches, so they deserved to qualify for the semi-finals at the expense of the Kuwaiti and Emirati teams, who entered the competition with outstanding team composition, especially Emirates team, who was among the candidates not only for crossing into the semi-finals, but even to compete for the championship title.
The Qatari team composition entered the competition without an adequate preparation period, as the players gathered within a period of only two weeks under the command of the Portuguese coach Bruno Miguel Pinheiro, who kept striving to ensure harmony between the players, and the loss in the second match against the Bahraini national team did not obscure the good level the team members presented.

It is a waited tactical confrontation that will bring Pinheiro, the coach of Qatar, with the Spanish Jesús Casas, the coach of the Iraqi national team, in light of the cards that appear to be open after each party got to know the other greatly, through observation and monitoring operations which was carried out by the two parties.
