Olympic Port Stadium.. The emblem of Safana Al Janoub is ready for the Gulf Cup

December 26 is the date set for the opening of the Olympic Port Stadium, the second stadium to host the 25th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup, which is hosted by Basra Al-Fayhaa, and whose construction cost is $86 million.

The stadium, which can accommodate 30,000 spectators, is in full swing, to be fully prepared, and in a pompous manner to receive the people of the Gulf, where the confrontations of the second group of the tournament, which includes the teams of the Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar, will be held on it.

The Olympic Port Stadium is designed in the shape of a wave, as it takes the form of the sea, sails and ships. It includes rooms for players, referees and coaches, and others for doping examination, and places to receive VIPs.

The stadium includes 6 gates, 3 for the masses, the first main and two secondary gates, two VIP gates, and a sixth gate to enter the two training grounds.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has set a distinguished program for the opening of the stadium, which includes a match between Al-Mina and Kuwait clubs, and honoring the stars of Al-Mina, one of the oldest Iraqi clubs, (provided that the teams of Iraq and Kuwait meet at the official opening of the stadium on December 30), as well as the operetta Safana Al-Janoub by Iraqi artist Mahmoud Abu Al-Abbas Through it, he knows about the ancient history of Basra and highlights its most important archaeological, tourist and economic features, revealing the inherent values ​​of the people of Basra in particular and Iraq in general.
