Al Annabi loses to its Canadian counterpart in a friendly match in preparation for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar

The first Qatari team lost to its Canadian counterpart, with two goals, in a friendly match that brought them together on Friday evening at the Viola Park Stadium for the International Games, also called the Generali Arena Vienna, within the preparatory camp that Al Annabi is currently holding in Austria in preparation for the 2022 World Cup, and Al Annabi will meet Chile next Tuesday in Austria.

Canada’s confrontation comes during the current international break in September, which is listed according to the FIFA’s agenda, as this confrontation preceded a friendly match against Croatia for the local team, and ended with Al Annabi losing three goals without a response, in the match that took place at Wiener Neustadt Stadium in the Austrian capital, Vienna, during which Sanchez included as many items as possible on the list, without relying on a specific lineup of key players.

Al Annabi came out late in the first half with two goals scored by the Canadian team in the 4,13 minutes through players Sail Larren and Jonathan David. Al Annabi did not provide the expected performance in this half and paid the price for the bad start with two goals it received within ten minutes, and Al-Sheeb saved more than one chance for the Canadian team, which declined relatively after scoring the two goals, after the pressure that he applied at the beginning.

Al Annabi cohesioned and staged more than one attack against his Canadian counterpart, some of which posed a real danger. The Canadian goalkeeper saved two shots from Afif and Muhammad Waad.

In the second half, Annabi looked relatively better after the changes made by Qatar coach Felix Sanchez, as he posed a threat to the Canada goal, and the goalkeeper saved more than one strong shot, the most dangerous of which was from Al-Haydos, and another passed next to the post from Karim Boudiaf.

The two teams exchanged control over the course of the game in this half, and there was no preference for one team over the other, except in two attempts at Al Annabi’s goal, which Al-Sheeb saved for them well. The friendly experience ended with Canada’s 0-2 victory.
