Saad Al-Shehri.. Get to know the Saudi coach with the Asian achievement

One of the best current Saudi coaches, success has always been his ally since he took his first steps as a coach, going from success to success and from brilliance to brilliance, whether with clubs or teams that took over his technical leadership, the physical education teacher who practiced and professionalized the ball, but injuries did not leave him to bid farewell to the stadiums after a short career that lasted only ten years, but he did not move away from the field. He went into training through his work after Prince Fahd’s first championship for schools in the Eastern Province, when he was chosen as a coach for an educational team in the honorary region. Then he started a training march that is a model worth stopping in front of, and he is the first Saudi Obtains B-level Asian Training License.

He is Saad Ali Al-Shehri, who was born in the city of Dammam on January 9, 1980. He studied sports education and began his football career with Al-Ittifaq Club, where he played with the youth, and led the national team in the World Youth Cup in Nigeria in 1999, and in 2000, he moved to the Saudi Al-Nasr Club, but because of his frequent pelvic and knee injuries, he was unable to play many matches with the team, to join in 2006 Al-Qadisiyah Club, then Al-Jubail and Al-Thaqbah in the third degree, after which he made the decision to retire.

He was appointed as a physical education teacher in the Najran region in 2004, but his career as a coach for a sports team was after the establishment of the first Prince Fahd Schools Championship in the Eastern Province. A strong integrated team managed to win the next championship, to be his first achievement in the field of coaching.

He was offered the task of training the Al-Qadisiyah youth team, where he led the team to the Premier League for the first time in its history. Therefore, he was also assigned to train the youth team in the club, and he achieved the Premier League championship. As a result, Abdullah Al-Musailekh, the director of the Saudi Youth Club, asked him to be an assistant coach for the youth team, Al-Shehri agreed, and the team managed to win the Gulf Cup in Qatar, and participated in the Asian Cup.

After that, Al-Shehri returned to work as a coach for the Al-Qadisiyah youth team, then moved to coach Al-Nasr Youth, then coached the youth team, which reached the World Cup with it, and then worked as a coach for the First Ettifaq team, where he succeeded in significantly improving the team’s situation.

He was chosen to coach the Olympic team participating in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and he led the Saudi U-23 team since March 2018, to achieve with him yesterday the Asian Cup for the first time in the history of the Saudi Green, with a clean sheet for the best goalkeeper in the championship, Nawaf Al-Aqeedi, and without defeat, where Al-Akhdar played 6 matches, won 5 and drew one, achieving a new achievement for Saudi football after the first team qualified for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
