The President of the Qatar Federation welcomes the President of the Kuwait Football Association and his accompanying delegation after winning the recent elections

His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association, received in his office on Monday afternoon His Excellency Abdullah Ahmed Al Shaheen Al-Rubaie – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Football Association, and his accompanying delegation, which included Mr. Abdulaziz Al Samhan – Member of the Board of Directors of the Federation, Mr. Salah Al-Qena’i – Secretary General, Mr. Muhammad Al-Amiri – Director of the President’s Office, and the President’s Advisers.

The reception was attended from the Qatari side by Mr. Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Mohannadi, Vice President of the Federation, Mr. Hani Ballan, member of the Executive Office of the Federation, and Mr. Mansour Al-Ansari, Secretary-General.

The Kuwaiti delegation representing the newly elected Board of Directors of the Kuwait Football Association received a high-level reception, with His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani at the forefront of the future of His Excellency Abdullah Al-Rubaie and his accompanying delegation, at Hamad International Airport, to move together to Al Bida Tower, the headquarters of the Qatar Football Federation.

The reception comes within the framework of the distinguished fraternal relations between the two sides, as the meeting touched upon many common files and football issues of interest to both parties, and discussed issues of common interest, strengthening cooperation frameworks between the two sides and the importance of activating them in the coming period, in a manner that serves football and provides ways to advance. in each of the two brotherly countries.

The delegation of the Kuwait Football Association listened to a detailed explanation from Mr. Mansour Al-Ansari, the Secretary-General, about the mechanism of the Qatar Football Association’s work in accordance with its vision and strategic plan for the years 2018-2022, which led it to multiple successes at all levels.

Al-Ansari stated in his speech that the Qatar Football Association is working with its institutional partners to facilitate all matters related to football in Qatar, through several main pillars, the most important of which is the pursuit of excellence as a first priority for the Qatar Football Association through goals and objectives (short and long-term) to ensure that things go the right way.

He explained that the absolute commitment to transparency and mutual trust with institutional partners at all levels, the union and cooperation as one team, and the belief in the culture of winning led the union to achieve its goals and objectives.

During his detailed explanation, Al-Ansari stressed the role of the federation’s social responsibility and its constant keenness to increase participation in football activities in the community, with a special focus on schools and youth groups, and maintaining an active communication relationship with the local community and football fans.

The Secretary-General concluded his speech by pointing to the increase in the percentage of commercial revenues to create sustainable growth in the long term with continuous institutional development to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of work, and the need for active communication with the football community at the international level, such as regulatory institutions and national, regional, continental and international federations, to ensure the continuity of developing strong cooperation relations durable and fruitful.

His Excellency the President of the Federation stressed to His Excellency Abdullah Al-Rubaie, the depth of the relations between the Qatar Football Association and his Kuwaiti counterpart, extending his congratulations to His Excellency after winning by acclamation at the presidency of the Kuwait Football Association – in the elections that took place recently – to succeed Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef, so that Al-Shaheen became the twelfth president of the Kuwaiti Football Association.

His Excellency the President of the Federation noted the size of the fruitful and distinguished relations between the Qatari and Kuwaiti Football Associations – throughout – and the constant communication for the interest and development of football in both countries.

For his part, His Excellency Abdullah Al-Shaheen expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani for this generous gesture, and this distinguished reception, which is not strange to him, nor to the Qatar Football Association, but rather is an extension of the inherent brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries.
