Iraq gets official approval to face Zambia in a friendly

The Iraqi Football Association obtained the approval of the International Federation “FIFA” to hold the friendly match between the Iraqi national team and its Zambian counterpart on the eighteenth of this month, which will be hosted by the International City Stadium in preparation for the matches between the UAE and Syria in the qualifying qualifiers for the World Cup Qatar 2022.

It is hoped that the capital, Baghdad, will witness this Friday evening the beginning of the internal camp for the Iraqi national team, by gathering at the residence, provided that it will be the first actual training unit on Saturday afternoon at Al Shaab International Stadium.

It is noteworthy that the technical staff of the Iraqi national team had announced, earlier, the list of players summoned to join the Baghdad camp, consisting of (46) players, to be reduced to (28) before the confrontations between the Emirates and Syria.
