The Iraqi Olympian participates in the Dubai International Championship

The Iraqi Football Association has agreed to participate in the Dubai U-23 Cup, which will be held on the 23rd of next March in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

A member of the Football Association, who is supervising the Olympic team, Ghanim Oreibi, said in statements carried by the Iraqi Football Association website that the Dubai Cup is a good opportunity to prepare our team in the best way with the participation of eight teams, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Croatia, Vietnam, Thailand and China, along with our olympic team.

And he stated: Our team will play three matches on March 23, 26 and 29, and the championship matches are a real opportunity for the technical staff to determine the levels of players, especially professionals residing outside the country.

Oreibi noted: The Olympic team entered a training camp earlier in the Turkish city of Antalya, and played three friendly matches, and it was an opportunity to test a number of players, and therefore the Dubai Cup will be an important station to know the levels of players before entering the Asian Cup competitions for the under-23 teams hosted by Uzbekistan in the first of next June.
