Tomorrow… the start of the FIFA Club World Cup “UAE 2021”

The UAE capital Abu Dhabi is preparing for the opening of the FIFA Club World Cup “UAE 2021”, where the ribbon of the championship will be cut tomorrow evening, Thursday, the third of February, with the match between Al-Jazira and Tahiti champion Perai at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, for the fifth time, as the capital of the Emirates records a new imprint that appears in the sky of the Emirates in general, and Abu Dhabi in particular after the years 2009, 2010, 2017, and 2018.

Seven clubs will participate in this edition: Al-Jazira, the host and the UAE League champion, Chelsea, the European champion, Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia, the Asian champion, Al-Ahly of Egypt, the African representative, Palmeiras, the Brazilian representative of South America, and Mexico’s Monterrey, the representative of North America, in addition to the newcomer Perai Tahiti, representative of Oceania.

Despite the conditions of the extended Corona pandemic, the tournament adheres to strict measures to prevent Covid-19, with the aim of ensuring a safe environment during competitions and protecting the health and safety of all.

All fans over the age of 12 must submit a green pass through the Al-Hosn app, in addition to a negative PCR test result valid for at least 48 hours.

The 18th edition of the tournament is very special, as it witnesses the participation of 3 Arab clubs: Al-Jazira, Al-Ahly of Egypt and Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia.

The second match will bring together Al-Ahly of Egypt and Monterrey of Mexico next Saturday evening at Al Nahyan Stadium in Al Wahda Club, while the third match will bring together the winner of the opening match and the Saudi Al Hilal team. The Brazilian Palmeiras in the second match of the semi-finals, and the final match will be held on the 12th of this month at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in the capital, Abu Dhabi.
