Doha begins the first phase of ticket sales for the 2022 World Cup matches

The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, which is responsible for Qatar’s preparations to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, announced today, Wednesday, the start of the first phase of ticket sales for the tournament matches, and will conclude on February 8, and indicated that the opportunity is available for fans to submit their requests to book tickets through the dedicated section on the The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy website, and all applications will have an equal opportunity to purchase tickets, whether applicants are on the first day, on the last day or any time in between, as the ticket allocation process begins after the application period ends.

In the event that the requests exceed the available numbers of match tickets for fans from inside or outside Qatar, tickets will be allocated to applicants using the lottery system, and then all those eligible for obtaining their applications, in full or in part, as well as those who are not eligible to purchase tickets, will be notified of the results of their requests by Tuesday, the eighth of the next March, with details of the next steps, and informing them of the last date for paying the value of tickets allocated to fans.

And in accordance with the rules of the International Federation (FIFA) in the sale of tickets for the previous editions in 2010, 2014 and 2018, fans of the host country benefit from special prices for tickets for the fourth category, which start from 40 Qatari riyals for the matches of the next edition.

During this stage, fans can submit their requests to purchase four sets of tickets, including tickets to attend one match, and are available for all matches starting from the opening to the final of the tournament, in addition to tickets for all matches of one of the participating teams, and it targets fans who want to attend matches of a specific team throughout the tournament, starting Of the three matches in the group stage.

Tickets are also available to attend four matches in four of the World Cup stadiums. This new set of tickets provides an incomparable opportunity to get acquainted with the unique Qatar 2022 stadiums, by attending four matches in four different stadiums over four consecutive days, thanks to the close distances that characterize Qatar.

Fans with disabilities have the opportunity to attend the tournament matches in an appropriate atmosphere, as tickets are available for this basic category of fans, with facilities and spaces designated for people with mobility disabilities and people with special needs, and are available within all the previous three sets of tickets.

More stages of the sale of match tickets will be announced after the date of the tournament draw, and they include additional groups, including tickets for fans of a specific team, and allow the match to be attended by the fans of the same team, and others for fans wishing to reserve a seat in one of the possible matches for their favorite team during the knockout phase. Including the final match.

During the group stage, fans will have the opportunity to attend more than one match in one day, thanks to the convergence of distances between the eight stadiums that will witness the tournament, and fans will be able to submit their requests to purchase tickets for more than one match in one day during the ticket sale phase that follows the lottery.
